Many of our client companies are relatively small, or they may be part of a larger global organisation but without local HR recruitment support on hand. We are able to offer our clients a service to provide psychometric testing and assessment centre design and delivery.
Psychometric testing
We offer two distinct types of psychometric tests; ability testing and personality assessment.
Ability tests are designed to measure current ability and future potential. The tests that we typically recommend take around one and a half hours to complete and explore three key areas:
- How well a candidate understands and interprets written reports and documents;
- How effectively they can identify trends from available data;
- How they develop new information patterns from statistical data.
Personality assessments examine personal behavioural preferences in the context of how a candidate likes to work. They are not concerned with inherent or learned abilities; rather they concentrate on interpersonal style, focusing on how an individual relates to others, approaches problems and deals with feelings and emotions. With this type of assessment there are no right or wrong answers.
Personality questionnaires provide data that offer valuable information on an individual’s behavioural style and can help to support a positive working relationship. They add additional robustness to the recruitment process, which we believe is of benefit to our clients. The personality assessment tools that we user have been researched, developed and validated by the market-leaders in workplace talent assessment.
The personality assessment questionnaires that we use can be administered easily online, with a variety of reports offered.
Assessment Centres
We have a wealth of experience in the design, delivery and management of recruitment assessment centres.
We design an assessment centre based on your company’s values and the particular requirements of each role. Assessment tools include:

- Written exercises
- Case studies
- In-tray exercises
- Competency-based interviewing
- Ability testing
We provide training to the managers within our client organisations who act as assessors, benefiting their own development and overall organisational capability.
